Vehicle end-of-life policy

Vehicle end-of-life policy

Since the budget was announced recently, there has been much talk about the possible introduction of a vehicle end-of-life policy. It's good, for the country, environment and all. but i think it's a little too premature to have it in Msia.

2 main reasons.
1. we do not have very good public transport(i'm being kind)
2. too many in the working class cannot afford newer cars. (why? low wages. why? god's will, change ur lifestyle lo, so we were told)

Also, the introduction of the mandatory yearly Puspakom test for personal vehicles 15 yrs and above sounds like a big joke. As though we do not know what goes on at Puspakom centres. IMO, Puspakom was set up with the correct objectives, just like how most agencies we know are, but most of the time, things don't end up the way we want them to rite?

Murphy said. anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

I personally do not think the annual Puspakom inspection will make on the road cars more roadworthy. If there needs to be any form of regulation, i'd say a better move would be stricter regulations and enforcement on workshops and mechanics. accesory shops included. be gone with workshops that charge cutthroat prices and employ half past six workers
